Top 5 Active NFL Quarterbacks Who Make Their Receivers Great

There are certain NFL quarterbacks who have a tendency to play great. As I watched the NFL Red Zone yesterday, I realized that now, more then ever, quarterback play is a very important aspect to a football team. A team with a quarterback who can't play WITH great receivers (Ahem, Brock Osweiler) becomes increasingly annoying to watch in this day and time, but quarterbacks that can still play at an elite level no matter who is catching the ball are truly remarkable to watch. So here are the Top 5 Active NFL Quarterbacks who make their receivers great. 5. Tennessee's Marcus Mariota Marcus is the 2nd year man out of Oregon who has been playing lights out in the NFL so far in his early days. The best thing about his accomplishments... Who is he throwing too? He has a big TE who gets a lot of targets, and is his most reliable receiver in Delanie Walker. Kendall Wright would be considered his most talented receiver, although he has done absolutely nothing in terms of production th

THE BEST OF THE BEST- OVERALL *ALABAMA*

No one can deny how good the Crimson Tide was this year. Led by a true freshman QB, and a defensive unit unlike any we have ever seen Alabama produce, Nick Saban has continued to show his dominance in the college football world. Most people can't ever remember seeing an Alabama team so good, or so consistent. You will see a lot of awards going to players out of this team. There are so many names to list that have been great! Jalen Hurts, Jonathan Allen, Tim Williams, Calvin Ridley, Cam Robinson... I could go on and on! Alabama boasts the only Power 5 undefeated regular season. Alabama defeated and dethroned 7 top 20 ranked opponents on their way by a combined score of 271-115. That's impressive. OTHER CANDIDATES: Ohio State (11-1) Washington (11-1) Clemson (11-1)

Total Football Report College Football Awards 2016

I may not have trophies to give out to the players this year, but now that the regular season is over for anyone outside of the Big 12, I want to recognize a lot of very great football players across the nation this season. Trust me, this season there are a LOT of them too. There are going to be 4 sets of awards. 1. THE BEST OF THE BEST These are going to be Team awards given out to the teams that carried out their plans to the max. Overall- Alabama Crimson Tide 2. THE BEST INDIVIDUAL EFFORTS These are the Individual players who made history this year or even just played lights out. 3. THE BEST NON POWER 5 Yes, I wanted to make sure some non-power 5 conference players got recognized and not overlooked. 4. ALL-TEAM SQUADS The last section will be coming forth. All of these different things will be in articles to make it easier for people to access, and me to label. Here was your warning.

How Big is the BIG 10?

There are currently 4 BIG 10 Teams in the Top 10 of the College Football Playoff Rankings (2.Ohio State, 3.Michigan, 6.Wisconsin and 7.Penn State), and everyone on ESPN and other sports nations are buzzing about the "Dominance" of the Big 10 Conference. You know, that right there is up for discussion, because the SEC still has the best win-loss percentage out of the 11 conferences. But what's not up for debate is the fact that the BIG 10 has 14 schools. Really, guys, how big is the BIG 10? When the BIG 10 was founded, 10 schools (Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan State, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, and Northwestern) came together and vowed to create the biggest conference in the Nation. Thus, they have since added 4 teams in, and divided themselves into 2 conferences, East and West. So if there are 14 teams in the Conference now, shouldn't we call it the BIG 14? You know, they should have come up with some sort of better name in

LOL Tonight- The Browns Player's Super Bowl Ring

It's been another cold brisk morning in Cleveland, Ohio, yet the Browns players still found themselves arising from their slumbers and going to work at the Browns facility... Only to find drama unfolding in a flamboyant fashion. Jamie Collins, recently acquired from the New England Patriots, couldn't find his Super Bowl Ring that he had brought with him to work, per inside sources reported. Jamie had earned his ring with the 2014 New England Patriots, and had grown quite accustomed to carrying his hunk of jewelry around with him at all times. His teammate that ended up following him from New England to Cleveland, OG Jonathan Cooper, told friends that Collins had been obsessing over it, referring to it as "my precious." "Something needs to be done about that," Cooper said, "it's really creepy and more then a little weird." Cooper also said that when he had met Collins, early in 2016, Collins wasn't quite the same guy. "He used to be

EARLY MOCK DRAFT 1.0

Everyone likes to do these at this point in the season, so I figured why not... It's interesting to speculate the upcoming draft and see how each version changes over time. So, here it is. Mock Draft 1.0, Draft order put together by the NFL Power Rankings found on nfl.com. 1. Cleveland Browns- QB DeShone Kiser, Notre Dame The QB Woes continue in Cleveland as the top pick goes to the man they hope will turn around the franchise. 2. San Francisco 49ers- EDGE Myles Garrett, Texas A&M An absolute stud, Chip continues to work on the foundation of his defense for years to come. 3. Jacksonville Jaguars- DL Jonathan Allen, Alabama Jacksonville invests yet more money into their defensive line, and now they have a great football player who will make an instant impact. 4. New York Jets- WR Mike Williams, Clemson The Jets know their receiver corps are going to Hades, so it's time to invest in young talent. 5. Chicago Bears- QB Deshaun Watson, Clemson Watson is the new hope of

Thanksgiving Day Football - NCAA Edition

So the NFL annually plays 3 games spanned throughout Thanksgiving Thursday to provide us with football to watch on the most thankful day of the year. But, let's face it. Who wants to watch the pros go at it when we have great College Football on to entertain us? This year is interesting. Two teams who previously were ranked in the Top 5 earlier in the season and have now fallen from the Top 25 with disappointing losses, face off against each other at 7:30 ET on ESPN. Folks, it's LSU at Texas A&M, and exciting match-up for their season finales. Both coaches will be scrambling for their jobs in this game. Kevin Sumlin is now completing his 5th year at Texas A&M with no championship ring to show for it. Every year, Texas A&M builds a big hype around their team only to fall short at the most crucial moments of the season. And so, whether many people realize it or not, Sumlins job is on the line with people like Tom Herman floating around as a possible sign on to head

Campaigning For The Heisman - Baker Mayfield

In Oklahoma, things are said and done a different way then they are in the northeast. Back in the rough and tumble days of the state, if you had a problem with someone, you settled it like gentlemen. You had a duel. Baker Mayfield is a complete Oklahoma Gentleman quarterback, and he's probably the best too. His first duel was against the incumbent starter Trevor Knight before the 2015 season, as a Transfer student from Texas Tech. Mayfield had transfered out and sat for a full year due to eligibility restrictions, and he had a problem with Knight- He wanted that starting job. Knight fought him for it but couldn't hang on, and Mayfield took Oklahoma to the Final 4, before getting beat in a duel with Deshaun Watson and the Clemson Tigers. This season, Mayfield has stuck to dueling with opposing QB's then teammates, and won some impressive battles. That 61-55 adventure over his alma mater Texas Tech, who views him as a traitor, saw him fire back over and over, while compiling

HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?!?!

The NFC East is Full of 2016 Surprises "How do you like me now?!" screamed Redskins QB and Captain Kirk into the ear of his general manager, Scott, after destroying the Green Bay Packers on Primetime Sunday Night Football by a measly score of 42-24. What had he just done? Oh, fired a mere 30 passes for 371 yards and 3 scores, thus making one of his biggest nights in his career count in a truly great way. It's hard to believe that at one time, Cousins was a 4th round draft pick, the second QB taken by the Redskins in the 2012 NFL Draft (After RG3 of course) and the apparent backup settling into a career of money being paid for time on the bench. However, it's clear to see that Kirk didn't want that. Now, he is the charming Prince that has been long awaited by the Redskin faithful. With the 'Skins at a 6-3-1 record now, Washington is a clear cut contender for the NFC wild card spot, assuming that the Dallas Cowboys continue to roll. Oh yeah, the Cowboys. Eno

Jared Goff is Starting At Quarterback

The biggest breaking story in the NFL today is that #1 Overall Pick and Rookie Jared Goff will be the Rams starter for the rest of the 2016 season, clarified by Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher. "I don't want to say," Fisher announced at the press conference this morning in Los Angeles, "it's a new era, it's a new start, but in a lot of ways it is. Jared Goff's going to be under center this week at home against a really good defensive team in the Miami Dolphins, so big challenge ahead." Yeah, right. If Miami is a good defensive team them Tom Brady is a stuck up, no good, horse swaggling, dim witted... Alright, alright. Enough of that. The big news is Jared Goff is starting for the Rams whether he knows where the sun rises from or not. He's the starting QB and he will be for the rest of the season. "Case was our starter yesterday. He's not today," Fisher rambled on. "It was a progression. It wasn't a spontaneous decision, it w

College Playoff Commitee's Top 25 Rankings 11 15 2016

Whoa whoa whoa whoa, what?!?! After a weekend of utter chaos, where the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ranked teams all took losses to teams that they shouldn't have, and the analysts all reported a shakeup in the top 4, we got... Musical Chairs? Well, almost. The latest top 25 rankings were a little bit disappointing for Louisville fans and anyone who wants to call the Big 12 or Pac 12 dominant, but there were quite some interesting revelations. FINAL 4 #1. Alabama Crimson Tide VS #4 Clemson Tigers With all of the close games Clemson has played to teams they should have destroyed (Ahem, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh, TROY), I don't understand why Louisville can't be ranked ahead of Clemson. If you watch the Louisville/Clemson game, you will see a lot of iffy calls, rough cheap play from Clemson and a few other interesting things and, oh yes... That will be upcoming soon in an article. In otherwords, Clemson is 9-1, just lost to a Pittsburgh team who can't play defense, Watso

Blair Walsh Cut By Minnesota Vikings

When a team looses 4 straight games, it's time to take a deep look at your roster and see what cuts you can make to improve an already bad situation. This problem becomes even more dramatic when you start by winning 5 straight games before going on a 4 game loosing streak. The situation goes from really bad to shockingly worse. Have you ever had a close friend or relative with a heart problem recovering really well, getting stronger, building hope that maybe he can overcome this problem before this friend dies suddenly to a heart attack? But you just saw this friend a month ago and they were fine! The same shock value is going through the Minnesota Vikings. It's becoming a panic more and more every week as the losses pile up. You know they are all wondering if they can be good enough to make the playoffs. So the first player really struggling on that team that comes to mind is pretty much gone. Unfortunately for Blair Walsh, a 2012 Pro Bowl kicker, that player was him. Blair

LSU's Head Coaching Carousel

LSU fired Head Coach Les Miles along with Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron after a close and difficult loss to Auburn in week 4. Defensive Line coach Ed Orgeron became the successor to the role and has since led LSU to a 4-1 record, their single loss being to #1 Alabama, a game that was hotly contested and scoreless until the 4th quarter. Now reports are circulating that an angry and upset Florida State Head Coach Jimbo Fisher, not Ed Orgeron, is the leading candidate for a head coaching vacancy where a well loved assistant, affectionately named "Coach O" by players and fans alike, is keeping LSU in the top 25. The anonymous reports also believe that LSU's Athletic Director, Joe Alleva, wants to hire Fisher, who will need a $5M buyout to get him from his contract at Florida State. Jimbo Fisher is a highly respected name in the college football industry. After serving on Nick Saban's 2003 National Title LSU team as the offensive Coordinator, Fisher jumped around a l
