The Bledsoe Drama

Image
Man, you have just got to love the NBA. First, you have a star player get on Twitter and post the words "I don't wanna be here." In the span of 24 hours, he's sitting in a meeting with a new interim head coach and a general manager, and they are moving him as far away from their team as they can. That's just a summary, folks, so that you can decide whether you want to read on with this article or just let it go and forget that you ever clicked on it. Phoenix Suns Point Guard Eric Bledsoe has seen a lot of change in Phoenix in his short career there thus far. He once played with Goron Dragic and Isaiah Thomas, primed to be one of the best front courts in the game of basketball. In one day he watched both Dragic and Thomas get shipped out to different teams and see success since then. Believe me, folks. This has been a long time coming. He tweeted out Sunday afternoon "I don't wanna be here." Hours later, Suns coach Earl Watson was fired, an...

Lonzo Ball - Up & Coming Star or Broken Draft Bust?

It's truly amazing how one game can change the way the sports media see's you.      Lonzo Ball tipped off his career to a rocky start with the LA Lakers, at home, in a 108-92 loss to their inner city rivals, the Clippers, and the sports media has been anything but soft toward the rookie. His NBA debut was a lack-luster performance, scoring 3 points, grabbing 9 boards and collecting 4 assists. He picked up a steal and a block as well, but his shooting was... well, not good. He went 1 for 6 on the floor, his lone connection a triple point shot in the second quarter, and missed both of his free throw attempts.      Former Houston Rocket bench player Patrick Beverley covered him the majority of the game, welcoming him early to the NBA with a brutal check, and reportedly screamed after the game, "Weak ass m-----f-----! Bring him on the court with me and I will tear his ass up!" People are criticizing Beverley for his comments, non...

2017-18 NBA Preview

Image
This upcoming season show's a lot of promise as there appear to be contenders for a Championship besides Golden State and Cleveland for a fourth consecutive season. Trust me when I say that the world isn't ready to witness such an event and everyone is doing the best they can to prevent that from happening. Every season brings some new wrinkle to the NBA. At this point, everything is on paper. An entertaining pre-season has given us a good preview of the teams to beat in the NBA. TOP 5 OFFENSES  1. Golden State Warriors     Yet again, what team is more capable of scoring points then Golden State? They have four gold solid three point shooters in Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and Andre Igoudala. When you put that many solid three point shooters on the team, you can guarantee that the rest of the team is trying to catch up in practice. Draymond Green, Zaza Pachulia and JaVale McGee are all solid contributers in the paint, and Golden State is, yet agai...
