Can the Rockets Outplay San Antonio Forever?

Image
Last night the San Antonio Spurs were spanked by the Houston Rockets on their own home court, 126-99, allowing the Rockets to set a franchise single game playoff record with 22 triple point shots and simply got flat out dominated with a showing of incredible skill and offensive firepower. The Rockets attempted a whopping 50 three point shots in last night's game, and MVP candidate James Harden recorded 14 of his teams 30 assists. Harden was in full form last night. No, he didn't score 40 points, or lead his team in scoring, or rebound a whole lot. He didn't score five master highlight reel dunks, nor did he even shoot his teams highest percentage. He was in full form last night because he looked like a leader, and a complimentor to the talent already on the team. Now that the NBA Playoff race has been reduced to eight teams going into the 2nd round, it's hard to imagine anything other then the Cleveland Cavaliers facing off against the Golden State Warriors for the 3rd consecutive season in the NBA Finals. Trust me, NBA fans, there is some hope. 100 to 1 ~ Utah knocks Golden State out in Round 2.  The Prospect is there. It's a slim ch...

Image
The Boston Celtics have fallen behind the Chicago Bulls, 2-0, in the opening round of the NBA Playoffs this season, and now Boston heads into Chicago for the next 2 games on the Bull's home court to continue the series. It's sure to be a couple games to remember, as Boston now has the chance to be swept as the #1 seed by the #8 seed, something that, obviously, doesn't happen often. The main question that everyone should be asking is simple. Why is Boston falling apart to the Bulls? There are several key deciding factors into this answer. The first thing to say is that the problem is not  Isaiah Thomas. Thomas got in the headlines the day before Game 1 of the series after the shocking death of his sister. Thomas didn't miss a beat, and scored 33 just a day after her death, collecting 6 rebounds and 6 assists along with his scoring outbreak. He looked quick as normal and appeared to be just fine. When you watch the tape from both games, you can't help but n...
