Can the Rockets Outplay San Antonio Forever?

Image
Last night the San Antonio Spurs were spanked by the Houston Rockets on their own home court, 126-99, allowing the Rockets to set a franchise single game playoff record with 22 triple point shots and simply got flat out dominated with a showing of incredible skill and offensive firepower. The Rockets attempted a whopping 50 three point shots in last night's game, and MVP candidate James Harden recorded 14 of his teams 30 assists. Harden was in full form last night. No, he didn't score 40 points, or lead his team in scoring, or rebound a whole lot. He didn't score five master highlight reel dunks, nor did he even shoot his teams highest percentage. He was in full form last night because he looked like a leader, and a complimentor to the talent already on the team. Trevor Ariza was on fire, he scored on 7 of his 14 shots, 5 of 10 from beyond the three point line, and led the team with 23 points.  Center Clint Capela was consistent, getting inside the paint and scoring...

Can a Repeat Cleveland VS Golden State Championship Be Avoided?

Image
Now that the NBA Playoff race has been reduced to eight teams going into the 2nd round, it's hard to imagine anything other then the Cleveland Cavaliers facing off against the Golden State Warriors for the 3rd consecutive season in the NBA Finals. Both franchises were the only teams to sweep their competitors in 4 games and pretty well dominated the court, the Warriors especially. Fans and franchises alike would all like to see the same thing - A different NBA Finals match up. As entertaining as it was to watch the Finals go down to Game 7 and watch Lebron James rise to the basketball god level that he did, give us a break from the drama between Lebron and Steph Curry! Please, great basketball gods! In this article, I want to break down the odds of another team rising to the occasion and giving us a fresh face of NBA Finals entertainment. Trust me, NBA fans, there is some hope. 100 to 1 ~ Utah knocks Golden State out in Round 2.  The Prospect is there. It's a slim ch...

Arizona Cardinals  1 13 13 LB Haason Reddick, Temple 2 4 36 S Budda Baker, Washington 3 34 98 WR Chad Williams, Grambling 4 8 115 OG Dorian Johnson, Pittsburgh 5 13 157 OT Will Holden, Vanderbilt 5 36 179 RB TJ Logan, North Carolina 6 24 208 S Rudy Ford, Auburn Honestly, it looks like the Cardinals are planning for the future. Reddick and Baker both won't start right away, but will backup seasoned veterans like Karlos Dansby and Tyrann Mathieu. Both Reddick and Baker can and will be long term starters in the future... Chad Williams has good size (6'2", 195 lbs) to play as a receiver in the NFL, however his tape shows he can't catch contesting for the ball and has hand issues. He's a long wa...
